We treat your horse like our own…
If your horse is recuperating from an injury or surgery and requires a structured, tailor made return to work programme, our rehabilitation livery can ensure an optimum recovery and return to fitness.
In accordance with instructions from your vet, we will develop a programme tailored precisely to the needs of your horse, including any specific nutritional requirements. All programmes are delivered by Andrew who will provide you with regular updates on progress, as frequently as you require. We will also liaise with and supervise visits from your vet.
We have many years of experience in caring for and rehabilitating horses. Rehabilitation livery includes all of our standard livery services. It also includes the following as per veterinary instructions:
- Application of bandages and dressings
- Administration of medication
- Cold hosing/ stable bandaging by caring experience staff
And appropriate exercise tailored to your horses requirements.
- Walk in hand
- Lunging
- Long reining
- Experienced and qualified rider for ridden part of rehab
Our aim is to get you and your horse back together having fun.
I asked Andrew to help me with groundwork to build up my horse’s top line following The Osteopathic Vet’s visit to PES in June. I’ve never really taken groundwork seriously enough in the past and it all seemed a bit rope waving to me with no great benefit to the riding side of things. However, Andrew demonstrated and explained it all to me in a way that made much more sense, and in a way that made it a lot more interesting! The results have been amazing, not only in terms of my horse’s way of going, but also in the relationship between me and my horse and I hope to carry this forward in my ridden work with Andrew’s help, thank you Andrew!
